Mini Body Shop Haul

I’ve never been a fan of The Body Shop but last Christmas I got some shower gel in a little hamper and I loved it. It smelt amazing and left my skin feeling so soft so I was definitely converted to a Body Shop lover.

Recently, my skin has been playing up so much. One minute it’s dry, the next it’s oily and then the next it’s oily and dry so I’ve been buying product after product to hopefully try to find something that works well for my impossible skin.

This time, I thought I’d have a look in The Body Shop to see what they have to offer me. I read so many good reviews about their Tea Tree range and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

Tea Tree Skin Cleaning Clay Mask – £11

This clay mask is perfect for blemish prone complexions. As soon as you put the mask on, you can feel it getting to work straight away. It instantly cools and refreshes your skin, it’s a weird feeling the first time you put it on and I can’t find the right words to describe why. With masks like this, I only ever put them on my T-zone because that’s where all my problems are, so maybe that’s why it felt weird for me as only half of my face was feeling cold and tingly, whilst the rest of it was at normal temperature.

You’re only meant to use this mask 1-2 times a week so it’ll be a while until I notice a real difference. One thing I did notice after one use was how much softer my skin was.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner – £6

I don’t think I’ve ever used a toner so I had no idea what to look for or what to expect but once again, the reviews I had read for this product were amazing so I had to give it a go. As soon as I saw the word “mattifying”, I had to buy it. I love products that reduce the look of my oily skin. With this product, you have to shake the bottle to activate the mattifying powders which I thought sounded pretty fancy.

After a couple of uses, I began to notice the smallest difference which I thought was great. I mean, I still had oily skin but it was a lot less shiny and visible. Just like the mask, it made my skin feel so much softer than it normally does. My skin also felt so much cleaner because it helped to remove any traces of make up still left on my skin which could blog my pores if left on over night.

I would 100% recommend this to anyone, even if you don’t have oily skin, you should still give it a go because it leaves your face feeling so much more refreshed.

Tea Tree Targeted Gel -£7

I wasn’t really expecting much from this product as nothing really helps reduce the redness or the size of my blemishes but I was pleasantly surprised. I put the gel on a couple of spots before I went to bed and when I woke up the next morning, my spots were reduced to basically nothing and the redness had completely gone.

As soon as you put it on, the gel quickly dries so it doesn’t feel like you have something sitting on your spot which I have found with a lot of products.

The only thing I’m not happy about with this product is the size, it’s so small for the price you’re paying so you do have to use it sparingly and not drown your spot. But then again, it’s a great size for you to carry round in your handbag for any skin emergency.

Overall, I am really happy with every product I’ve purchased because I’ve been able to notice a difference almost straight away. I will definitely be purchasing more products from The Body Shop in the future.

Love,
Emily xo
